Sorry gentlemen, Bugatti, his factory and his brand survived WWII, no doubt helped by his Italian nationality. In fact Ettore seemed to have quite enjoyed the war years in Paris helped by a generous pay-out from the German government. On a more positive note, through Facebook have just got back in touch with a Dutchman who I haven't spoken with since the 1963 International Rally in the UK. |
