Radiators were also bought from another company, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe that this magnificent piece comes from there?

I just emailed Blaak what they think of it.

EDIT:

Jaap Torenvlied of Blaak, Holland's leading classic radiator restorer and manufacturer responded:
I've never seen such a mold. There should be an attachment on the bottom for pulling the wooden outer lugs tight. We regularly make new Bugatti radiator surrounds for many different models, that is why we have to work with different wooden templates.

This mould looks very original and was used to make the tapered outer side of the lateral surface flat and parallel. The metal is pulled back and fastened with the loose pieces. When everything is clamped it can be marked and removed from the mold to be cut and made to size.

These radiators were not made by Bugatti, but by suppliers such as Chausson and Moreux. This mould may be made by Bugatti, but more likely the mold is made by G. Moreux & Cie. It seems to me a T38/40/43 mould. Except for the thickness of the cooling block these radiators were similar in shape.

It 's a nice piece of history, but to justify this price it should be well documented and really have Bugatti origins.
