Hello all,

Recently car-journalist Jeroen Booij, some enthousiastic experts and me have started a new website dedicated to rare cars (classic & modern), automotive design, special coachbuilding projects and the stories behind the craftsmen who created these cars.

I'm gathering as many experts and enthousiasts as possible to help us creating the largest collection of stories, info and pictures about all coachbuilders from past to present.

The website features all articles I wrote for Autoblog.nl, articles by Jeroen Booij and an image gallery sorted by coachbuilder.
Several guest writers will contribute as well.

My question to you all is: Would you be willing and able to contribute all info and images you have on special coachbuilt cars?
I'm talking cars with a body designed and built by an independant coachbuilder in period like for instance Graber, Worblaufen, Pininfarina, Figoni & Falaschi and many more.
Jaap has already contributed lots of pictures and he'll be writing some articles as well. Thanks, Jaap!

Please give me your opinion on this newborn initiative and feel free to contribute!

Best regards,

Michiel van den Brink.

You have time for that? You should be working on the Vandenbrink Coupe!! How's that project going?

I will see if Johan will allow you to use his Corsica article. Should be fun!

Johan, can you jump in?

Michiel is a friend who makes fantastic drawings on Bugattis, and recently designed a truly fantastic Coupe bodied Ferarri GTO reincarnation, which will be built!

Show us some work, Michiel!!

Post subject:  Coachbuilder - LA PARISIENNE - Bordeaux - type 23 - 1918.

Does anyone have any information on La Parisienne of Bordeaux who provided a DHC body for the type 23 with chassis no. 1918 best remembered in the ownership of Blavie in Belgium and more recently with Nick Baldwin in the UK ?

I can't remember having see this Bugatti before. Do you know if it is on a T44/T49 chassis?

I recently heard we're dealing with a T49 from 1931.
This confirmation came from a man who did some research and owns a Peugeot by Pourtout from the same year with similar body styling.

A useful guide to spotting the difference between the T44/49 and the T46/50 is the radiator cap.On the T44/49 it is an early type which unscrews and on the T46/50 it is a large racing flip up type.Unless my eyes deceive me this car seems to have the flip up racing type.
