Re Photos on your website : my understanding is that this car has a plain-bearing crankshaft.

Assuming that is correct, how can it be described as a Replica type 35B ?

The discussion about replicas is an ongoing one, and it can be funneled to one single question:

What is the definition of a replica.

For "purists", replicas are copies of the original, which are correct in every aspect.

For "enthousiastes", replicas are mere-copies of the original, which are correct as closely as feasable. This might induce (minor) deviations from the original.

This is how I see it. There is a third group of people, but I do not want to mention them...

If we allow cars with plain bearing cranks to be called type 35B it renders the term meaningless. "35B" defines the crank type and the engine capacity.
