A car listed in Wiki as a "Bugatti 35B" is a Dutton reproduction but not a "35B" : it has a plain bearing crankshaft and could therefore be referred to as a "reproduction" type 35A with supercharger. The owner Mike Zimmerman says : ...to me....it's a real Type 35B Bugatti Grand Prix..." Wishful thinking. |

Can you direct me to the car? Then I (or someone else, or even you) can change accordingly. The WIKI is a website, where every visitor can add or change information. A backlog is being kept for future reference, so every change is tracable. Lot's of people have updated the WIKI, even up to people like Michel Bugatti, who added a lot of info on the Royales. When you like to be able to edit the WIKI, a new registration on the WIKI is needed. (the registration of the forum and photoserver does not work on the WIKI) I am working on a more solid system to contain the data, using references. Still experimenting with that. |

Post subject: | Mike Zimmerman's Dutton Special. |
It is incorrect to call this car a type 35A "replica" because the 35A was only 2 litre and unsupercharged. The car is a Dutton "special" copied in parts from an original Bugatti design. It might be nice to drive, but when I saw it, it didn't look very well finished and I can think of much better ways of spending £150k. |
