Didn't know where to put this so I'll just try here:
Is anyone going to the "Retromobile 2006" in Paris in February???
If so we could arrange to meet somewhere and perhaps have a nice Bugatti talk!

I am trying to plan a visit, but I have not figured out exactly yet. I also know that Martijn Visser from the Netherlands is also trying to get there, but also no finalised plans. Of course this board is available for contact-keeping and planning. Before and after the Retromobile. |

Hi Herman and Martijn,
My fiancé and I have already booked our tickets and hotel from Wednesday to Saturday but we will not be at the Retromobile all the time, since we are also going to visit some other museum and some of the obligatory sights in Paris during this trip! Let's keep in contact here, and see what we can find out if some of you are going too!

As you know it already carsten, I could not return to me once again in Rétromobile this year because I would be in displacement, therefore to my great regret I will still miss it this year. In any case I wish good visit with you and Tina as with all those which will go to this great annual appointment. Best regards |

As always, I'll be going on the Friday, most probably just for the day. I'm in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, so for any of those living near (Herman?), we could go together. Usually this makes the trip very entertaining, as the talk is on Bugatti all the time. After January 21 I know more exactly if and when. |

Are you usually going there on the first Friday, or is it the second friday? Could be great if we could meet! I could be there on the last Friday, since we arrive in Paris on wednesday the 15th. Best regards Carsten |

I will be going the first Friday, not the last... I have to deliver some books too, better to do that on the first day! I may be going together with somebody else though, I'm not sure yet. Anybody is welcome to come along! |

How will the day look like? In the past I did Paris shows in one day: Leave at 5 or 6 in the morning, arrive at 8:30 or 9:30 (those were the days...), visit the show, have dinner, head back the same day. Is this your plan as well, Jaap? |

Yes, one day. However, the show opens now 12.00, it's no use to go so early, driving off at approx. 6.30 or 7.00 is early enough! Usually the drive back should start approximately 18.00, though the last time it was after 20.00, due to all the people I needed to talk to! (It's open until 22.00 on the first Friday) Probably not necessary: http://www.retromobile.fr/ |

I will visit the Retromobile 2006 from friday morning till sunday evening. The visit is privat and to make an article for the Dutch oldtimer magazine "klassiek&Techniek".
