I see that the "Leopold car" is being used, again!

Very good indeed!

I'd love to hitch a hike in that one!

My first ride was in the T54/57 of Armand van Ramshorst (similar size and weight, I guess), who reached approx. 140 in that car. Never again did I reach such speeds in a Bugatti!

Hi Jaap, I agree it's nice to see to see 57248 being used with such enthusiasm. Am I correct in believing that the new owner (who wish to remain anonymous) is also the owner of a equally well-worn T35 - a red one if I remember correctly. If the answer will publically identify the owner please just ignore the question. Usually people craving anonymity irritates the hell out of me, but this one is different. He likes his cars very original and he uses them often where they can be photographed and shared with all.

I see in the background of the first photo one of my favourite T40s, 40816. I first saw this car on your site Jaap, and I wondered then if it would be restored. Nice to see that it still looks as gloriously ratty as always.

Johan

Jaap, the 54 59 in which you had your first ride did NOT belong to Armand Esders but to Armand van Ramshorst. Must have been a typo. Regards jacobug

You are correct. The story of me sharing a ride with Armand Esders in his Royale is a completely different one. Much more fiction also...
