Your album 57452 is to surely be called 57455 here, and most photos are from me. Great

Hello Uwe. I will rename flickr collection 57455. As you rightly say there is a problem with the provenance of pre-war photographs. If any copyright exists who owns it is frequently very unclear. If you would like to take over any of my flickr groups please let me know.

Speaking personally I get a tiny litttle bit miffed when I see photographs I took with my little camera in the late fifties, copies of which I subsequently donated to the late Hugh Conway, which are now posted on the internet with the name of a well known charitable organisation superimposed on them. However, much worse things are happening in the world.

Regarding any of the pictures I have taken with digital equipment and posted on flickr or bugattibuilder any members of those groups are free to use any my pictures for non-commercial purposes.

Car 57750

A 1938 type 57 originally fitted with ENGINE 538 and GALIBIER coachwork.

Allegedly ruined by a resident of TEXAS, USA

Saved by respected UK engineer BARRY PARKINSON.

Now fitted with engine 432 from car 57590 and ATALANTE-STYLE coachwork.

Regarding list above.

4483 - This is the no. on the chassis plate BUT I think it came from a type 30. Also 1925 ? Try 1995.
4575 - I understand John Thompson died last year and his type 35 is now owned by Hubert Fabri.
57248 - chassis number given wrongly as 72458.
57750 - I think Tonge has sold the car to Peter Chadwick.
41 "recreation" - 1969 ? Surely much later.
49 - According to UK BOC car has one siderail from 49241 and another from 44922.
