Hello Claire or Mike

i only saw the cleaning guys polishing the car on wensday
i only had time to be there on wensday since thursday on i was down at Spa for the 24 Hours

altough i was impressed with the event & their selection that was very strong i wished some of the cars where placed a bit better & more apart, there's defenitly the room for it
& i didn't like that VIP parking behind your class, that showed up too much in the shots & takes a bit of the magic away from the pre-war class

altough i did get a shot of you driving around:

My Dearest Friends.

Firstly, please allow me to express my admiration for Claire's bravery in the face of this inexplicable travesty of justice that has befallen not only her, but also her, our, beloved T57. Claire I've always liked you, right from the start I have, but only now do I realise the strength, the fibre, the sheer courage that lies within your soul. Hear this Madam, for You truly are our very own Steel Magnolia.

And now I must share, nay, nay I say, INFLICT, this Grotesque Crime against Art on my fellow Bugatisti : The Judges of the Salon Privé decided, in their infinite lack of wisdom, that a Bugatti Atalante, an original Bugatti Atalante at that, should place second to a Jaguar. A Jaguar. Has this world gone completely mad?

My Darling Claire, please accept my deepest condolences on this near fatal wound inflicted on the innocent aesthetics of 57252. Heathens! Philistines! How dare they!?! A Jaguar beating a Bugatti!?! Dear God is nothing sacred anymore? A Jaguar of all things. Rage, Rage against the Dying of the Light. For I shall not go quietly, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

Please excuse me, I must go lie down now. And weep. Openly.

Farewell, I shall not recover I fear.

This is great, just great. I spend hours, no days, composing my literary masterpieces and then Lazarus comes along and best me with a single sentence. And he owns more books than me. And he owns Bugattis. And Jaguars, apparently. How rude.

And just when you think things cannot get any worse, listen to this ; I showed my boss Lazarus' post and told her I need to go home to try and recuperate from the effects of such villainous words and she refused point blank! Actually what she said was : "Oh for Christ's sake sissy boy, man-up will you!?!" Women eh?

I'm not having a very good day, I'm going to go away now.

Bye
J

Uwe

Only got the disc at the weekend before show so no time to get them black but will do so.

DJ Dirk

That was my partner driving with a lovely Polish lady in your picture who was there and she had fallen in love with the car, so we decided to give her the treat of driving around for the Press day. I agree a bit more space could have been good allowing a better side view of cars etc. As there are only limited numbers of people each day and it's spread over quite an area at times there are ony a few people around certain classes of cars so makes you feel rather odd if you stand by your car all the time, also the champagne bar was very close by and it had chairs. It would have been nice to talk to more people who were interested in her so if you are ever in the South West of the UK come and see her.

Johan and Lazarus

The SS1 Jaguar was lovely and a great friendly owner and I do have to say I have 4 Jaguars myself but I am really glad to say if the only car I owned was the Bugatti I would be happy all day long.
