BTW
it was a bit overkill on the Veyrons this year

The car described as 2523 above is a lovely car and does indeed have the engine (914) from car 2523 under its bonnet.

However, according to Bob King (2006) the car was a built up special based on a cut down chassis from a type 38 with no. 269.

He believes that this is the car registered by the UK BOC as "BC 004" although I understand that Gary Byrd might have a different opinion and I note that it is stated on this site that the type 38 chassis has been replaced with a type 13 chassis. (The car is listed in Bugatti Register.com as 2523. Does this mean that Gary Byrd has chanced upon the original frame and reuninted it with its original engine. Two questions. Where did this type 13 chassis frame come from and what has become of the type 38 frame ? )

I do not agree with the type designation 57TT. The body is a 4-seater Tourer, but no TT (tourist Trophy)
