I hope the above URL works.

Otherwise search for Bugatti and user RMauctions at Ebay.

Prices went up the roof:

couple of books: 1100 dollar
Pocher model: 1100 dollar
Another Pocher model including showcase only sold for 450 !!
Brianza model: 1500 dollar (I bought this a year ago for 500 euro, and another one did not sell for 300...)
Bench vice and bench legs: 3250 euro. (I'd love to have one...)

Truly amazing...

There is nobody who likes Ebay more than I do but there are some real con artists out there. I say can artists rather than con men because some of these guys truely are artists. For example, there is a guy in China peddling "knock off" Bugatti vices accurate in every detail down to the very scratches as the one being copied.

I watched the Ponder Collection auction closely - he was my first paying customer and many of the Pocher models offered were my early builds. Not my best work, but still well-built, with modifications and custom paint per his requests.

Ironically some of the shabbier models offered on the first day fetched higher prices than the better ones offered with the real cars on the second day. Most of the Pocher models were bought for a good price. Many other models were bid far too high in a frenzy of competitive bidding.

That's one of the risks of auctions. You are drawn into the athmosphere of bidding, and that makes you forget about your limits.

What I do is setting a set limit, and stick to that. I usually use a sniper for that. That saves me from thinking about the action (set it even days before the auction ends) and the sniper software places the bid in the last seconds. That way other people cannot react in time, raising their bids (and raising their limits...)

I succesfully use this one:

Auctionsniper

However, it is always great to see that people get happy with your product. Besides that, it is a great way to measure the value of your work.

The Ponder Auction was primarily a traditional auction at his estate, but many lots were also listed on ebay for extra visibility and to enable real-time online bidding.
