I really enjoyed PAU this weekend.I had not appreciated just how good it is to see a REALLY genuine historic racing car.The Talbot T26 which beat all the argentines has a wonderful history.Le mans,Pau,comminges etc etc etc.Well done to him.We should insist on genuine prewar cars for at least one race.Let all the others race in a race of their own.

I think there was a Delahaye yes.I was too busy watching the great Talbot. Some of the PSargies were just foolish. One pale green car looked almost plastic in its newness.Totally out of keeping with wings and lights.Done up like a tarts boudoir. One PSargie was driven by an argentinian. When he told me that he was Argentinian,I said that he had come with an argentinian car as well.To his great credit he said yes with a smile. One of very few honest men on the track that day.I almost hugged him.The BMW 328's were very impressive on the track.I think that they were genuine, although people have made new ones also. There really should be a genuine car only race. However small the grid. There was once a Bugatti only GP when no one else turned up in the twenties.I hope the photos come out.I am 100% certain that this car never left Molsheim if indeed it has ever been there. Therefore it is driving on false papers.

Here is my friends T51 from Poitiers just up the road.I have driven this car.Very nice.An honest French replica Bugatti, with perhaps some few genuine bits.
