On the 3th and 4th of September 2005 the 6Th Concours d’ellegance in “Paleis het Loo” (The Netherlands) was held. One of the Themes was the Bugatti Type 57. Below you can find a list of Bugattis that where presented on Saturday 3th. Type 35C #4920 ![]() This is one of the cars that took part in the Classic sprint. In this race the cars have to drive a specific distance. The time is running from stand still to stand still. This is putting a high load on the classic cars. This Bugatti got serous damaged during the second run. The Owner is a well known racer that is always going to the limit. He is also holder of the quickest time in the Type 37 class on prescot hill climb. During a Classic Grand prix In Monaco he drove about a complete lap while the engine was on fire…. Type 37 #37122 ![]() This car also took part in the Classic sprint and is a well known participants of Bugatti meetings all around Europe. Type 37 #37256 ![]() #37256 is another well known type 37 seldom missing a Bugatti event…. Type 57 Atalante Coupe #57432 ![]() This car once drove around in Belgian Congo and took part in the 1975 Rally of Monte Carlo Type 57 Gangloff drophead #57715 ![]() No further details known about this car. It is at the moment in the hands of a Dutch owner. Type 57 roadster Gangloff #57749 ![]() This beauty won the best of show award. Type 57 Stelvio #57257 ![]() In the past this car lived in Switserland and Poland. It was imported to the Netherlands in 1966. Type 57 Ventoux #57285 ![]() The second price went to this nice Ventoux Type 101 #101502 ![]() One of the last ”Classic” Bugattis build. On the 4th there where probably other cars present. What you missed on the Sunday was Kjeld Jessen's Brescia, I don't know the chassis number, but I do know that it was originally a long wheel base, and was later shortened and fitted with the "Brescia" racing body. Chassis number is 2442. ![]() |

Actually, the damage of the fire can be seen in the photo. On the hood, the last coupe of louvres both on the side and on top suffer some paint damage, and some corrosion, due to the fire. Luckily, Bugattis are right hand drive... |
