Note that the T59 is largely a replica, and has no chassis number. The text" The list of important original components in this Bugatti Type 59 is pages long. Upon its completion, the experts from the Bugatti Owners' Club in England enthusiastically conferred their BOC chassis number, 123, upon the completed automobile signifying their conviction that it and its components comprise a high level of originality and authenticity." is just a nice way of saying that it is a heap of parts put together. A nice car, which of course I would love to have, but probably not at all worth the estimate of 1.2 million US$. Probably closer to 300 to 500k. |

The only thing that the award of a "BC" chassis number signifies is that the vehicle looks something like one of Ettore's designs and has a "Bugatti" badge on the front. The club cares not where and when the car was made and whether it is built to orginal factory specifications. |
