From 5 to 7 June 2009, the former returning to conquer the "Bald Mountain", thanks to Peter Auto. The organiser of the famous Tour Auto Lissac revived one of the most formidable French race whose first edition dates back to 1902! The Mont Ventoux has since witnessed great racing side featuring the cream of sports: Bugatti, Ferrari, Porsche, Gordini, not to mention the sports car and single seater. Recall that Mont Ventoux is the culmination of massive Baronnies and the highest summit of the Vaucluse. It rises to 1912 metres. Its nicknames are the height of myth: the Giant of Provence or, more prosaically, Bald Mountain. Working closely with local authorities, Peter Auto thus reviving the Ronde du Ventoux (the race is held every two years), watered-down version which will take the form of a loop around the Mont Ventoux permitting, from Bedoin, the climb up summit and the descent on the other side. The models who participated in the event since its inception, from 1902 to 1976, are accepted. http://www.rondeduventoux.com |
