Registration Number: N/A Chassis Number: N/A
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a Bugatti restoration project combining many original components and most of the necessary parts to complete the rebuild.
The chassis is complete with the original front axle and the original rear axle (number 201), original steering box, drag links and track rods, reconditioned shock absorbers, springs and brakes, and it is also fitted with the very desirable aluminium ‘blade’ wheels with large integral brake drums, which were optional on Bugatti Type 37As but standard equipment on 35B models.
Although mostly complete, the engine does require a new lower crankcase/sump casting, otherwise comprising an original cylinder block, camshaft box (number 602), crankshaft, connecting rods, vertical drive shaft and Scintilla Vertex magneto, together with a new crankcase casting, new valves and springs. Castings for both the supercharger and supercharger drive are included, as is an original Solex carburettor, a semi-rebuilt gearbox (number 62), original clutch components, new radiator core, correct fuel tank, cross-shaft assembly, old French oak seat frames, a nearly complete early body and assorted miscellaneous items. Completing the package are the original Bugatti steering wheel and cockpit instrumentation.
This truly is a unique opportunity for anyone willing to put in the time and effort to acquire one of these highly rare, valuable and desirable icons of vintage motor racing.

No chassis number. Hmmm.
