Can anyone throw up any information on Cameron Peck? he built up a superb collection of old cars soon after WW2 but I always wondered what became of him. |

hello D.Cameron Peck, a wealthy banker from chicago, was one of the first americam hobby collectors. he amassed a large collection of mainly american cars in the 3o`s and 4o`s, but also including some european rarities as a 1892 panhard ( now ex harrah museum), the 1919 ballot racer ( ex cunningham, now collier), voisins, fisson etc. but his greatest interest was to collect all surviving ruxton`s, one of the most futuristic marks of USA. he was president of many automobile clubs. due to family inters or health he started selling out his collection from 1949 up to the last in june 1952, leaving only a handfull cars for himself. mike |
