HENDERSON, C.S.

A publican who ran the Bulls Head Inn at Shenstone near Litchfield and used a type 51 (51146 with reg. no. NPC 244) normally fitted with twin rear wheels in UK events.

The car had been a works car driven by Chiron and subsequently passed through the hands of Leoz, Lemon Burton, Haines, Bear, Tyrer and Fry before acquisition by Henderson around 1951.

He competed at Prescott over a three year period in the early fifties achieving a best time of 47.40 secs. during the meeting held in June 1953. This time was good enough to achieve the fifth F.T.D.

He later competed with a supercharged Cooper ā€œVā€ twin, again fitted with twin rear wheels.
