RIEGER, René. The owner, in the eighties, of a saloon type 44 (441303). He lived at 18, Rue de la Hohwart, 67100, Strasbourg, France. (Photo : “Bugantics” Summer 1985 pages 48/49). He was a participant in the 1990 International Bugatti Rally based in North Wales driving a type 37A (37382) and in a demonstration run held in conjunction with the AvD-Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring on 11th August, 1996 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Bugatti-Club Deutschland. He died in December, 2005. (A photograph of him by Hans-Georg Schmitt appeared in “Bugantics” 68/4/34). |
