Whilst we've got your attention Jaap ......

Glancing at your schedule of Bugattis sold in 2008 I notice that the Williamson "baby" GP ( I undersstand the type 52 designation is incorrect)
is listed with the chassis no. 11.

A friend who keeps a register of all known chssis nos. tells me that all the other known cars come in a sequence that begins with 101.

Any comments ?

Well, the T52 was of course very much different than the real cars. If most of the other cars started with 101 (though not all!), I'm not sure if this counts for the T52. Personally, I never saw a number below 100. However, the Williamson one is very early (short version) and should have a low number.

However, I'm not sure if the info I received is correct.

This one did get an exceptionally high price, though!

I always wondered if a picture of the Type 46 with the ghastly fiacre Royale body would turn up. I think Roland said it was called la Vache (the cow) at the factory. Will a photo appear on the forum?

It probably will, personally I never scan photographs from books....

But I'm glad some people do. As we all know, copyright is long gone, even for the Trust pictures; if you have one and put them on the forum, theu can never say it is theirs. They can't possibly prove that you did not get the picture from somewhere else.

I sure wish that the Trust would be a bit easier with publication of their photographs, without all the Trust trademarks on it. That does not imply that they should put all the pictures in a printable quality on the net either.

There are two pictures of "La Vache", the T46 with the Royale berline body, in Bohuslav Klein's book.
By the way, this book is really fantastic, nicely printed and the documents are just incredible.
There are few errors, mainly on the identification of coachbuilders, but how this can be avoid with 400+ pages and several hundreds of pictures.
Highly recommended !

My copy of the book was delivered today… What a great book this is…. Worth all the waiting.. A massive addition to the collection.. and will be placed next to the Steinhauser and the Laugier books….. No time yet to read through it in detail… But can’t wait spending a raining Sunday afternoon with this jewel. Congratulations Bohuslav, Ronald and Kees…. You all did a great job….

Johan, behave !!!

Last night was a time to be angry. That is over now. Be nice to Martijn. You don't want to be beaten by someone you don't recognize when you visit Europe in a few months.
