Volume II Dutch / Belgium Bugatti register

Image

Today I received my copy of Volume II of the register… With matching number to my Volume I. Another great addition to the collection.. and including some fantastic surprises…. This volume will first be sold to people that already are in the possession of Volume I. Great work by Kees Jansen, Dick Ploeg and Hans Veenenbos.. Can’t wait for Volume III

An interesting new register, and I see some very nice sources! Thank you Kees, thank you Christian!

No, no Herman, thank you. One of the photos are credited to you, and a grateful Bugatti community gives thanks! One more thing, you know the big debate about the Harrah/Louwman T50 Coupe Profilee? Entry for that car states it to be a T50 with an engine swop. However, at the back of Vol. II there is a list of cars that will be updated in Vol.III, guess which T50 is due for some rewriting? Yep.

I love these Registers! I have a feeling quite a lot of the information contained therein will soon find their way onto the New and Improved Wiki. Result!

Johan, you forgot to look at page LXII. There you can find the corrections to Vol 1 for the Louwman car.

Bugwrench I should hang my head in shame! The entire first section of Volume II is even more fascinating than I could have believed possible - yes, 50146 is actually 46546. Never mind that, the history of the Belgian Royal Family's Bugattis is mind-blowing, the entire history of 57248 is there. And a T56, and the T55 - yes, it did belong to South African Clive Woolley from 1983 to 1992 when he sold it to Rodney Felton. Pure heaven.

Now you must excuse me, I have some reading to do and many delicious things to discover. By the way, I paid 150 Euros (+ postage to S.A.) for the two matching number volumes - this makes it a seriously good bargain. Best 150 I've ever spent.

Kind Regards
Johan

Johan, I am very glad you like NLB1 and 2. (To be honest I would not have been satisfied with anything else!) The corrections for NLB1, the preview of NLB3 and the index to link the two books are I think good features. It has been a lot of work of which Kees Jansen did by far the most.

Johan, BTW what serial number NLB1 and 2 do you have?

Number 150, and my name written in by hand. I really like that, it's as if it was specially printed just for me.

One thing I noticed last night, apart from all the information, they are really well written. A most pleasurable and entertaining read. In light of recent events I wonder if Mr. Jansen and his able team would like to add the French Bugattis to Vol.III. That could cause trouble, so perhaps not.

Regards
Johan

I thought the number was 510 … and not 150….

Yes it is 510, I think. Suddenly I'm utterly confused ..... let me just double-check when I get home, but I think you are right Martijn. Sorry Bugwrench! Thanks Martijn! Now I am going to stop before I run out of "!!!!s"
