Haven't seen this one listed either here or on Oxtagon Fox's site.
Not even mr. Hauk's almanach (Bugatticlub Austria) lists it.

Found it on ebay (but missed out in the bidding  )
Well - can't have 'm all...

Never heard of that one either. How much did it go for?

Greg,
It went for Euro 168,13 / USD 230.37 (6 bidders, starting price USD 99)

And I was so close...

It is stated to be a limited edition of 800 copies
I am trying to find a distibutor/reseller: if I find one I will let you know.

Thanks for the information, Barttore. The book has been published in 2010, therefore I do not think it is out of print yet. Probably, the book is not for sale at bookshops, being sold by Mr. Huet himself. I would say that the starting bid (USD 100) is the real price of the book. Do not be sad for having lost the auction; it would not be strange that the seller offers for sale new copies of this book again.

And if you live in Europe, you'd better buy the book from a European seller, the shipping costs will be much lower. Buying books from USA also has the problem of the customs requeriments and taxes. I bought the book "Delahaye Styling and Design" by Richard Adatto from an American seller more than one month ago and, although I have already paid the customs taxes, I have not received the book yet because of the slow procedures of the customs.

I will also try to buy this book on the Bugatti 57473, but from an European seller.

Only 87 pages? The book in the picture looks like thicker than only 87 pages. If so, EUR 168 is a very high price for a book with only 87 pages...

I was hoping there would be photo's of the train crash and the remaining parts in storage thereafter, so one can see for one oneself how much could have survived. But I guess if those photos exist, they will remain unpublished, to keep the myth alive.

==> He knows the book - is searching himself for it to no avail yet - he says is was not availible for public but only for a selected group. He will add it to his almanac.

I was the seller of this book. The photo at the top of the page is from my eBay listing.
Even though the book had only 88 pages, the paper stock was very heavy and of very high quality. And the book had extraordinary detail of this car, right down to the design of the door hinges.
I had several copies, all sold except the one in my personal collection.

Last Saturday, during Retromobile, the famous old car exhibition in Paris, Christian Huet was selling this book for 79 euros.
Most probably, he should still have some copies available.

This book – limited to 800 copies – unfortunately is completely sold out.

Christian Huet now considers to publish a second edition, on the condition that he receives 500 orders by May 2011. Price will be unchanged at 79 Euros.

Mr Huet had one of the original books at Retromobile; it is a beautiful piece of work. To place an order, please write to Editions Huet at 96 rue Jean de La Fontaine, 75016 Paris.

Do they have Email? That would help gathering 500 subscriptions.

There´s no e-mail address on the leaflet I got from Mr Huet.

So it has to be snail mail. I fully agree e-mail would help a lot !
