I have the book.

Depending on the amount of money it will cost to get my total-loss car back on the road, I might sell it. Thursday I will assess the damage on my car.

Octagon fox knew of one for sale. Think it was about 8 or 900 euros though. My favorite Bugatti book.

No personal injuries I hope ? Good luck with repairs - or finding an alternative.

Good thing real Bugatti's don't have computers...
Imagine: where would you get an original computer for your Brescia today...

Still: annoying problem, probably costly to solve. I imagine you need a new computer from a dealer or both computer and locks from a breaker and switch them yourselve. Have you tried:
- the ANWB: I have heard they know override codes get round the immobilizer.
- searching www.problemcar.nl

Sorry for being very off-topic, just trying to help a highly regarded site host.

No problem for getting off topic. If it helps getting the stupid thing running...

On Problemcar I found a thread where I got directed to 3 very dubious contacts in the PATS module (mostly referred to as "problematic anti theft system") Soldering the contacts fixed should solve this. I hope so, this is easily done by myself.

The other option is a new computer, I checked your link, but they do not do Ford, unfortunately. I hope my uncle (Bosch garage) can help. Replacing the computer is Costly (with a capital C). And if it turns out not to be the computer...

Herman,
yesterday I googled "startonderbreker + mondeo" and found a link to a problemcar-topic that the ECU guys (in the other link) successfully helped a Mondeo-driver (if that is still the car you have / the car you are experiencing the trouble with; I don't know if it is the right model-year) But here (during lunch at work) I can't find that topic anymore.

read these maybe they help you:
http://www.problemcar.nl/viewtopic.php?pid=703434
http://www.problemcar.nl/viewtopic.php?pid=602978

and/or try
http://www.actronics.nl/ (they have a special ford section)
