Any idea what chassis this is? Anne Itier owned T37A - 37365. She also drove and raced T37 - 37265. This T37 has small brake drums, so more likely 37265, than 37365, but it could be a different chassis number. Does anyone have any insights?

According to Wiki the photo's of Itier are dated 1928 GP de Espagne.

I have checked Sheldon/Rabagliati and Venables and such but can not find any reference to the car or ms. Rose-Itier in this race in 1928.
Also checked 1927 and 1929: no result (it seems in 1929 she drove a Rally not a Bugatti)

So I ask : where does the info in Wiki come from: is it verified ?

Don't mix up the Spanish GP with that of San Sebastian. The "real" GP, thus that for racing cars, was the Gran Premio de San Sebastian, held on 25 July 1928 on the Lasarte circuit, whereas the Gran Premio de Espana, held 4 days later on the same track, was a sports car handicap race. Itier participated in the latter one as can be seen by the road equipment of the car.

I know this photo since long, and I have absolutely no idea about the car. However, on first sight it is not 37265 which was registered 4205-K1, as this car carries 5381-K5. K1 was issued at departement Basses-Pyrénées (region Bayonne and Pau), but K5 at departement Gironde (Bordeaux area). K1 corresponds to owner Dr. J.L. Lafourcade of Bayonne, and K5 may in fact point towards the later owner Léon Parisot of Bordeaux. However, as I understand from the 37265 thread the registration with Parisot was still the original one from Bayonne which is surprising as these are 2 different departements which normally requires re-registration with new (different) plates.

In October 1927, 37265 was registered 4205-K1 (F-Bayonne), #30 Le Concours de Cote de Bordeaux - Monrepos, June 2, 1929, Leon Parisot with 4205-K1, not 5381-K5 !!!!.

Anne Cecile Rose-Itier : #33 Le Concours de Cote de Bordeaux - Monrepos, June 2, 1929,

5381-K5 (F- Gironde) registered in 1927.
Gran Premio de Espana in July 1928 with 5381-K5 (F) and Itier, not 37265 !!! . Could be also #33 of Le Concours de Cote de Bordeaux - Monrepos, June 2, 1929,

Léon Parisot owner of 37265 in 1929, from information of Andrew G. Larson on bugattiregister.com with 4205-K1

Type-46

Altijd gedacht dat Type-40 alleen een houten kist achterop had, zie model hieronder :?:
