I forgot something. This car got a new cylinder block in the year 1988. In the company where I worked at that time, only engines were repaired. We had to work on and install the valves. That was very difficult, I it will never forget. The car was finished up to the international Bugatti meeting 1988 in Heilbronn-Germany !!. That was great !!.

We might have met at the 1988 Bugatti meeting in Heilbronn. I remember it was a great event, and the first time I met Hugh Conway. A real gentleman.

Uwe,
at that time (late 1980s) I lived in the Stuttgart area. Which made for a very short journey to the Heilbronn Bugatti meeting (without Bugatti of course, being a student at that time, struggling to keep his MGB running)...

Regards

Looking at the T55's registration number it is possible that it is from South Africa. As far as I know the only South African T55 is owned by someone with the surname of Woolley.

I have no further details

Johan.
