Licence plate: 728 KR 28 (F) 1970-2008, 4504 YW 84 (F) 2008, 3941 TH 81 (F) since 2008

Owner: Lionel Jimenez (F) since 25th February 2008

Former owners: Docteur Gabriel Espanet (Levallois-Perret,F), Bernard Afchain (Saint Lubin, F), Claude Afchain (Saint Lubin, F) 26th January 1970 , Jacques Iuri (F) 21st February 2008,

T49 Coupé by Weymann-Van Vooren, Courbevoie (F).


On July 5, 2009 Bresciabugatti erased information and put this:

Engine n°: Type 44

Year: 1928/31

Licence plate: 728 KR 28 (F)

Owner: unknown

Former owners: Bernard Afchain (F)

Type 49 Coupe Gangloff (Colmar)

Bugatti-molsheim could confirm the sources of its information. In the same way in Bresciabugatti:

Photographs with registrations 4504 YW 84 (F) 2008, and 3941 TH 81 (F) since 2008

Hi Christian

Do I understand you correctly, are people still deleting entries on the Register? I thought this is why Herman introduced this forum so any disputed entries can be debated and only yourself and a select few others are then allowed to change the Register?

I certainly would not delete anything on the Register, that goes against the very spirit of what we are trying to achieve with the Register ; it is after all a constantly evolving work-in-progress.

I had hoped we'd put this bloody nonsense behind us. Seems not

As can be read, some (valued) contributors sometimes disagree on certain chassis numbers or pictures. In no way there has been vandalism on the register up till now. Just some disagreement over certain data.

The sometimes complicated history of cars is no help in those cases.

That is why this spot is created on the forum: To discuss these more complicated entries. As we all have proven already, with help from many contributors we can unravel the mysteries. The forum is a so much easier place to discuss then a WIKI.

Bugatti69: Well done for bringing the discussion to this place.

To make the things CLEAR :

I erased twice the name of the ''current owner" on the page when I saw it simply because : HE IS NOT THE OWNER ! (It is not because you are on a picture beside a car that you are the owner)

The spirit of the wiki is probably to have valuable information and true info...

When the info is false .. and I know it is not correct : why do I can't change it ?

this is a contribution ?:!

I simply doesn't understand what hurts you.

Regarding the contribution of bugatti-molsheim.. he is probably right.... Look at the revised previous versionS...

Look at the history of modifications.. I don't think that I'm the one who erased the information of Bugatti-molsheim.
If I'm : I apologize.. It was not my aim.. I just wanted to have it clear that once again the name of the 'current owner" was not right in the version I saw yesterday.
