Herman,

Question 1:
Am I right or wrong in this assumption? If I log in to the "new" proposed Wiki (meaning I have a username and password), would I be able to see all the private information? But I could not change this information (I could only suggest changes on the "discussion" board), unless I was one of the "Moderators".

Question 2: I would still like to see the "pre-war" (or "pre-1970")owners of a car, IF they are known. (I don't care about the recent owners (so hopefully no harassing by owners), although they should reside on the private site, so the "moderators" can track down information, etc.) If I could see these "older" owners that would be great, whether it is on the public page, or If I had a login to see the "private" page?

Once logged in, you should be able to view all info, including the private stuff. It is the private stuff that can only be seen when logged in.
The page with info (public and private) should have an input field where suggestions can be made to improve the data. The discussion board can then be used to discuss this new info, if neccesary.

I prefer to keep all owners on the private page. It will be accessable by anyone that takes the effort to log in.
