4887. A type 35A with engine no. 131A. Factory invoice ; 17th June,1927. Sorel, London. Issued with the UK reg. no. YX 4391. Listed in 1954 in the ownership of Colin Rayney of 32, Holmdene Ave., Headstone Lane, North Harrow, UK and carrying the UK reg. no. LXV 332. Unusually, there was said to have been a plaque next to the filler cap stating that the car had a capacity of more than 2 litres. GPB 1968/83 ; Crisp, Sussex. 14th February, 1989 : sold by Coys of Kensington (see. B.52/4/10 and “Classic and Sporstcar” , March 1989. Car still registered as LXV 332. Sold to London dealer “Dan” Marguiles. Howard Bevan died in car in Frane. Rebuilt by John Barton. 1995 ; Hanauer BBR 2000 p. 55. |
