I'm sorry if I'm annoying the experts with my doubts and questions but I have one question regarding the Musée National de l'Automobile's Type 50: it's supposed to be a 50T based on the Bugatti register? Which are de differences between the 50 and 46 chassis?

Once again pardon my ignorance but the Profilée is a car in which I have much interest.

The T46 and T50T chassis frames are identical with a 3.5M wheelbase and 1.4M track.
The T50 wheelbase is 3.1M.

I hope this is of assistance.

Ok, that I knew. But how can you distinguish a 46 from a 50T? And what's the thing with the Roland d'Ieteren car?

Same chassis number...? The Roland car is a replica? Or a restoration? Which is the actual 50157?

Thanks in advance! :D

I restored Rolands car.It is not a replica. The car in the schlumph museum has the wrong chassis length for it's supposed chassis number.I dont know if Rolands car is 50157 but the schlumph car cannot be.One problem with these cars is that the engine and chassis numbers are illogically stamped on a removable bronze engine mounting.Once that is removed and the chassis plate on the bulkhead then there is no way of identifying the original number. The engine in Rolands car came from the family of mouse davis [ ex owners of the le mans T50.]
