Is it a metal body, or one of the early fibreglass ones? Must be metal at this price?

justified? - good question . It is a Koux replica , so the body shape is OK , not made from pictures .

Fibreglass and jaguar engine .

How much did VW pay for ?

My experience about the T57S chassis and the Atlantic , there is absolutely no knowledge about it . And the supposed to be experts are not much better . So you can sell anything if original or not .

Well, buying a Koux replica as an Original (as VW did) is kind of stupid; even the lesser experts know that there only two surviving Atlantic's (out of 4) and they know where these are.

That one was an aluminium one with Bugatti engine, and sold for 1.5 million or so....

1,5 Million for a aluminium body with Bugatti engine is OK . I wouldn't sell it for less . But if you have a close look to the VW Atlantic you can see all the mistakes . In case you have the knowledge . The story that they purchased it as an original , is the same story that Bugatti used rivets because he was not able to weld magnesium .

Bugatti people love it to create stories and this story's stay for ever .

The 2 original Atlantics , how much is still original ?
