20.000 euro for a pile of wood... No photos from the interior. Probably too bad for the auction... Still, if this is true, it are the first pictures I see from this boat. So now we have "Barbara 1" and "Barbara 3". Where is "Barbara 2" ?? |

My opinion… It is Barbara II and not Barbara I… No further info from my side…. The asking price is way to high…. It is only a pile of wood…. Don’t expect a Bugatti engine in this boat.. even the Barbara III (Orhpee III) was equipped with non Bugatti engines (made by Ford) |

Defintely not Barbera II, which is pictured in Steinhauser. Barbera I?? But still, nice discovery! That this still exists! Martijn, call up this guy and go check her out! Take your camera with you! (and leave you matches at home....) Shall I join you? |

About 1000 km from Utrecht. If you go, be aware that the last bit of the journey is quite tough. I have once had a race in that area. Quite tough to do over the weekend. |

Thanks, I had not seen that one before either! However, the date is probably wrong, I remember that Bugatti bought the Chantiers Lafitte at a later date, about 1936 - 1938 or so. Anybody has the exact date? |
