A very ambitious project. I hope they will manage. It will need a brave pilot.

Are the 2 original engines still available?

Yes, Frederic Gasson has big plans, and a time schedule of approximately 10 years!

The whereabouts of both engines that came from the engine are known, however, it would be quite costly to acquire them. There is a 3rd engine in the Schlumpf museum, probably even harder to get!

Frederic does not intend to use these engines though, the project is mainly about proving that the airplane would really be able to fly! The original engines are not needed for that (though it would be much nicer!).

Hello,

I'm working on the idea ti build a plane for 3 years now. I continue all the investigations I'm able to carry on... I'm just back from Oshkosh where I've spent 3 days, working on the plane lots of informations are still missing, esspecialli on the pneumatic control system...
With all the motivation I brang back from the US, I've decided to fly my mockup (sailplane version) 1/5 scall: After 8 differents flight I've decided to spare my emotion for the next fly. Trajectories are absolutely marvellous!

Hope to bring you soon more informations.

You can have an idea about last flights:

Great pictures. You seem to have more experience with flying planes than I have. (the only plane I flew was a 1:1 Boeing 747-400, when I was about 8 years old. Please do not say it was flying on autopilot. Don't kill my childhood memories....)

Is the Bugatti plane different in flying from other planes? Is it more nervous, does it stall easily? etc.
