There are some movies that show the factory, some things can be seen there. (I recall flattening the top of crankcases, if I am correct)

That lathe on the right is huge, I guess it is used for driveshafts and front axles?

It could be thirties,although the overhead belt drive to the machines was going out of fashion by this time.If we could see a Bugatti part somewhere in the picture that would give a clue as to what model was current at the time.The Bugatti wheels need a very large faceplate or chuck to turn them.

can you imagin all the noise from the belts and the machines in this room ? I think my biggest lathe is the same size .
I am looking for info how Bugatti made for example bevel gears ( I belive " Gleason") and crankshafts .

I recall a movie at Simon Kloppers workshop, where a 4C cranckshaft was made, which was standing vertical, turing slowly (excentric) and the big ends were machined.
