There are drawings of - the foundry - the workshop with several belt driven big lathe's - the workshop with several belt driven small big lathe's - the workshop with several belt driven routers - a belt driven machine I think for reaming the crankshaft guides - a machine for reaming 4 cilinders at once, using a special Bugatti tool - the workshop with grinding tools - a machine which prupose is not clear to me - quality control tools and intrumenst for making small corrections /adjustments - workshop with benchworkers and assembly - engine stand for engine assembly - measuring table with tools - blacksmith's shop : belt and muscle driven - ovens for heat treatment and tempering - workshop for project preparation - engine testing bench - drawing office most drawings are dated 1922 the booklet is in French Ther is no copyright stated so I think I could post some examples but maybe you could consider buying your own copy, now you know what is inside: Jeroen / Octagon fox has a copy for sale right now |

" Bugatti had some wonderful machines " ! Can anybody explain me this wunderfull machines ? I have 2 con rods in front of me . From a Brescia and a 37 , the machining quality is very low . Is there any real info about his machines ? |

It looks like a hand made tool to make splines into a milled part. It's more a homebuild conversion to do the job |

Greg , you will like this . It is a Kerry lathe made in England . As a lathe not realy very magic , I think this is the reason the company is closed today . The conversion is made in Germany , but I did coppy a machine from a company in England . Somebody made the same conversion at South Cerney Engineering years ago . I think the company name today is Ashton Keynes .For the job the machine is doing , the machine is OK and easy to handle. But it looks like nobody can see for what the machine is converted . |

The age of machines does not tell anything about quality, or perhaps it does: The best chisels I have are really, really old, and actually are French (Peugeot) About the mechanism: does it move the whole tool holder, or does it turn the tool holder? Machining is all about tools, regular and special, to do a specific job. Most of the time it takes 2 hours to set up, to do a 2 minute machining job. |
