Looks great. I wonder what it flies like, in comparison to other, similar sized planes. is it stable, is it nervous, etc.

I hear from many people who flew a RC model, that it does in fact fly very well. Both stable and well controllable.

I don't know for this individual one though.

Give us some time, and we'll find out on a 1:1 model!

Very impressive video. Seems to fly very well. But keep in mind that the latest in model engines (electrical) are so powerful, that they will even get a brick to fly...

This is Frederic Gasson's flying miniature in 1:5 scale. It is electric, and is the only one incorporating the adjustable wing-flaps, as in the original.

The airplane has a single-propeller, Frederic is working on a twin-counterrotating propeller set-up though.

difficult getting bricks to fly.If this is an accurate copy of the original design then it is indeed most impressive. When is someone going to make a full size one out of something better than the original balsa wood.Has anyone put this design through the computor simulation to see how well it would fly in full size? preferably with a decent motor.

Currently in the USA somebody IS starting on a full-size replica. And yes, made out of Balsa wood.

In the end, he plans to fit two Bugatti engines, but probably will fly the machine before with other engines.

And yes, simulations have been done, as were wind-tunnel tests. Conclusion: Yes, she will fly, though it seems that the tail surfaces are a bit on the small side.

May be it is time for you to become a member of the Bugatti Aircraft Association? You'll be kept up to dat then! http://www.BugattiAircraft.com

And, didn't the British Hooligans discover the secret of flying bricks?
