And next? Or is this the Double Berline de Voyage now?

My question too, to Lazarus, which Bugatti this would be if it went to Harrah?

The double Berline? I always thought that was an original body?

Any more clues anybody?

It is believed to be the case that Harrah bought a damaged chassis on its own with damaged front axle.It would be nice if the owner of this damaged royale chassis [a german] who bought it from America a couple of years ago would put photos on this site.It was sold after the death of Bill Hurrah to a private collector in the states who kept it for many years.I am not supposed to say anything about this but I cannot understand the mystery.The experts who have seen this chassis are unanamous in their opinion that it is the prototype damaged by Ettore.It is now of course being restored.Probably with a Packard body as originally built.

[quote="rivaaquarama"]Spark Plugs on Royale engines

Below a picture of the Train engine used for the Esders roadster as build at the Museum in Mulhouse. It is clearly visible that this engine has one spark-plug per cylinder… At least on the right side of the engine.

I think it is not so easy to add another plug on the same side where first one plug was located. The reason for this is that if a single plug is used, it will most probably be located in the middle of the cylinder. If another plug is added to the same side it will be placed outside the center…. and it will not fit with the same depth into the ignition room of the cylinder. An extra plug on the other side of the block could be an option…. What complicates this is that all wires going to the plugs should have the same length…. Otherwise you can have problems with the timing of the sparks…. At 186,000 miles per second the length of the ignition wires is not really relevant ! :P

This really would be sensational! The 7th Royale!

However, if a body is made for it, the Weymann would be much nicer than the Packard body. Even the Fiacre Saloon or Coupe bodies would be better!

Impossible to convert, almost. On either side, you would have to do a lot of welding, closing the old spark hole, and making two new ones right through the water ways.

On the other side, also the water ways would have to be welded shut, before a new hole can be made.

Almost easier to make new castings...
