Post subject: | Autorail specs? |
My friend wants to build a model of the Autorail in HO scale. Where can i find some drawings of the Autorail with dimentions. Think something like that would be out there somewhere? He needs just the exterior and the trucks. Thanks in advance. |

In reply to your request, Ger sent me a lot of files containing specs. I will post them on the photoserver today, I need to rebuild some of the files, as they are too large. So give me a couple of hours. I will also post the specs here. |

I had no idea there was a steam design. Very cool! I believe the one he is looking for is the design with 4 royal engines in it. Would that be the blue and white engine? Great photo's thank you. Cant wait to show him these. |

He may not have to build one. I just saw a HO scale T41 Merveilleux Autorail on a foreign e-bay. Seemed to be maybe german. It is made by a company called SMF AG or something like that. Anybody ever heard of this company or seen this model around? It was listed for 360 euros wich i think is about 500 american. Did'nt want to bid because i cant read the listing. I'll post a photo!! If anybody see's one of these for sale, could you let me know? Thanks!!! |

I could not find the one that you posted the pictures from. However, I did find this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Tres-beau-l-autorail-BUGATTI-PRESIDENTIEL-de-JOUEF-217_W0QQitemZ130146899167QQihZ003QQcategoryZ142738QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem The translation can be simple: This train is new in box. The detail parts still have to be mounted, and are still on the sprues. For the rest he offers all kind of conversions, for Marklin, Digital, etc. He ships worldwide. However, if you come across a seller that only ships to Europe, feel free to use my address, and I will send it through. |

I asked, however, as I am typing this, the auction will end in 12 hours. I hope the seller responds within time. Anyhow, they are sold regularly, usually in very good condition. Based on an estimated shipping weight of 2 kgs, shipping from Netherlands is approx 25 euro, and based on 5 kg it will be 34 euro. I guess France will not be much different. |
