Post subject:  Fontenelle T35 history

Hello. I am new to this site and very much interested in information about the auto collection art T35 cars. When was the first one made, and the last from the factory? Can the date of manufacture be determined from the serial number? Were there changes made during production? Any and all information is welcome. I have much respect for the model and the people involved. Any and all information welcome!
Thank you...

Hi Timeless,

The history of the Art Collection Auto models is a bit of a mystery for me as well.

There was a Mr Fontenelle, who, as far as I know, founded the company.

There also has been a Mr. Pretat, who tried to sell off everything (for some 150.000 euro I believe).

Thier website has always been a bit "strange". Right now it has been down for a while, but now I check it is up again:

A notice on the website:
Quote:
The company is looking for a buyer to take on its traditional models: Bugatti Brescia ; B35 and B37 This buyer will be encouraged and developed in Vichy over the period of a year, especially if he is a young man, like an apprentice. The registered brand “Art Collection Auto” will be assigned to him with all specialist tooling necessary for the construction of the above models.

I know of at least one party that was interested, but the craftsman he had in mind for production bailed out.

but also this website is in existance:

probably a customer that is not so satisfied....

I have owned an unbuilt T35 Challenger (kit) but had to sell it at some point. Still regret that.

Thank you for the reply! I know little about the history, only what is on the internet sites. It would be very nice to get some info from employees that did the work on the T35. Do you remember if your kit was serial numbered? I would also be interested in how they were shipped to prevent damage from the factory...There must be original buyers with that information in the collector community?
