My Bauer Type 41 arrived this afternoon, and I thought you all might like to see just how well it was protected for its trip. Since I am no expert on Type 41s, I hesitate to comment on its authenticity, other than the engine turning on the engine block looks nice and is well done, but is not hand scraping. I will add some more pictures of the interior, since those are hard to find. If anyone has any details they want to see, let me know and I would be glad to post them too.

Finally I have received this model. It has taken a long time before this model was available in Europe.

I must say I am quite happy with the quality. Packaging is really incredible. The outer box is 60cm x 30cm x 40cm. Lots of protective materials, which delivered the model without damage.

I was curious, and took the 1:16 Franklin Mint model out of the cabinet, and placed them side by side. Guess which one is larger? The Bauer 1:18 Royale... So I did some further measurements:

1:18 Royale Bauer wheelbase: 27 cm (1:15,92)
1:16 Franklin Mint Royale wheelbase: 26,7 cm (1:16,10)
1:18 Bugatti type 35 CMC: 13,4 cm (1:18,65)

Another 1:18 model which is not 1:18... Does look quite nice alongside the Franklin Mint model anyhow...
