 Post subject: Adding depth to engine parts

To add a certain depth to engine parts, finish them in the paint of your choice. (mostly steel or aluminium).

After that, apply very thinned down dark brown paint (Tamiya Smoke, 1 part paint, 10 parts alcohol) and with a large brush, let it run into corners and crevices (or apply all over). Then clean with a dry piece of cloth. You can do that several times to add more dirt. Then drybrush with a very dry brush a bit of silver over the top parts and ridges. Let dry and enjoy.
