It would seem the Forces of Darkness has won. WIKI R.I.P.

It would seem the Forces of Darkness has lost. Welcome back WIKI!!!!

Why scuttle all this work?

You want to give them even more satisfaction…

It is necessary to alleviate the situation.

I did not answer their wishes?

Laffont accepted the modifications
Courteix took note of it.
Ariztegui in spite of its threats, can be only satisfied. The card relating to it was removed.

They harmful at this point would be?

There is more d' encouragements that criticisms. Encouragements which weigh heavier of Kees Jansen, and well d' others including much of owners who brought precise details on wiki.

The situation should be calmed, knowing that wiki became a reference and with the characteristic which it is opened with all.

Criticisms make its notoriety, and already much discovers it and recognizes it

I cannot risk you becoming victim of the greed of 3 or possibly more owners, who want to hide their ownership of (replica) Bugattis.

I have always found it very strange the way people view other peoples hard work.If we see a Bugatti which has taken years of hard work and financial sacrafice we should all be pleased and compliment the owner on his endeavour. But some people either already owning "real" cars or not owning anything make rude comments. In the UK when a society find a Supermarine Spitfire on a kibbutz in Israel and restore it with an engine from an elstree windtunnel and wings from a seafire from the FAA,and change 20,000 rivits and get it flying again NOBODY SAYS "OH ITS A FAKE" EVERYONE SAYS "ISN'T IT GOOD TO SEE IT IN THE AIR AGAIN" EVERYONE APPRECIATES THE HARD WORK INVOLVED.And when a group of enthousiastes buy a steam engine from south wales and make a new boiler and new wheels and oh dear someone nicked all the brass so all that has to be remade,NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING EXCEPT "HOW WONDERFUL IT IS TO SEE IT IN STEAM AGAIN" What on earth is it about old cars that changes people so much ?

Christian

They are only 3 out of 2800 cards.
Not to put their name at their request, it is normal. They have the right of it.
What is abnormal, it is not to have required it or have specified before and to erase cards as that was done.

To remove a card is not serious: 1 out of 2800.

In all the cases, their behavior confirms without ambiguity that they are replicas. Then so much better, that makes it possible to make the distinction.

One day the absence of information on a bugatti in wiki will state that it is probably a replica. Or then will give doubts to very possible purchaser seeking of information.

It is my opinion.

Christian

That is quite an interesting fact ; no French Bugatti Register. Suddenly I understand why. Christian I agree with Herman, these bastards got hold of your personal phone number, and then threatened you. Your safety is our prime concern.

Let them have their victory for now. It will not last. I promise you. In the mean time, be careful, greed can drive dishonest men to do desperate things. But allow me to tell you how much I appreciate all your hard work in building Wiki into the such a comprehensive database. The fact that people are prepared to sabotage it speaks volumes about the uncomfortable (to a fraudulent few) truths it contains. Respect.

Herman please allow me to state for public record : Bugattibuilder has changed my life, made it richer, more enjoyable. You have my support, my loyalty and my friendship. Fight the good fight - and win.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I am angry, and the worst is, my rage is utterly impotent.

Goodnight
Johan Buchner

Where can I order the T-shirt?

Honesty will prevail. It may take a little time, struggle and effort, but it will.

I have to get up early tomorrow, so I am going to bed too. Goodnight to all honest Bugatti lovers, owners and non-owners.
To all the dishonest Bugatti and/or replica owners, I hope you can't get any sleep tonight because of the turmoil you have started.
To the three French man concerned and the Dutch guy with the Type 57 who created a smaller (not public) turmoil a few months ago, I hope you realise you will be the outcast of Bugatti society.

Regards, Jeroen

Hallo Herman,

I read about the stop for the wiki and for me, I am very upset that people are trying to manipulate original data.
Your wiki did have more information than Conway and all the other so called Bugatti coinaisseurs.
For me, it was a source of information yust I was looking for.
I am intersted in information of owners, pre owners what happen to the car, etc.. One part of this information is only the name of the owner, no thelephone number, no privat information. Only the information of the current owner is important for the next owner and nobody else.
For me it is a black day when I heard about some stupid people who are trying to ignore investigated data and try to cover there false identity of there Bugatti.

Dear Bugattibuilder forum and wiki members…

Both Bugattibuilder and Wiki where started up by a Bugatti enthusiast. Within a relative short period of time a group of fellow Bugatti enthusiasts joint and a great global Bugatti community evolved. Most of the active members do not own a Bugatti and only get their information from public accessible sources like Bugatti events / registers and races where Bugatti’s where presented. If people do not want their cars to be known they have to keep them in their garages and for sure do not participate in public meetings / races. It is for sure that Bugatti enthusiasts are also present during meetings / races and will write down information. Since the group of bugattibuilder members is growing everyday it is nowadays almost sure that at least one member will be present at each meeting. The silly thing is that the people who are now behind the shutting down of the wiki are making a fool out of themselves. The only thing that they had to do is to remove the info they did not want to be presented on the wiki. I know that in the past there was also another owner that had removed some of the information about his car.

Starting up a lawsuit or other legal steps against bugattibuilder ore one of its members is to my opinion a shame on the brand Bugatti / Ettore and all those who are passionate about Bugatti. To my opinion those people do not deserve to own a Bugatti. Justice will always win and the truth will always come out,

It is ridiculous to try to shutdown a webpage / wiki. The minute the site is shut down another site website will be opened. It is more something like “the resistance” during a war or against a dictatorship…. I thought the same morals where valid all around Europe.. But unfortunately this does not seems the case in France… Ettore will turn around in his grave… and will be glad he is from Italian origin…

Good Morning my Fellow Bugatti Enthusiasts

What would happen if Herman put Wiki back on-line, highlight all the cars belonging to these three stooges, and rename Wiki as The World Bugatti Register? What, if any, legal avenues are available to aggrieved owners who feel their fakes should be referred to as Bugattis-with-Provenance?

Just wondering, besides, I miss Wiki already. "Once more unto the breach Dear Friends!" Too much? Not enough? Yes you're probably right, how about this : "Cry Havoc! And let Slip the Dogs of War!!!" Yes, much better.

New Day
New Resolve
New Fighting Spirit.

I am
Johan Buchner

PS. Take your time Herman. As a sign of solidarity I am staying logged-on for the rest of the day, perhaps you care to do like-wise? Show of strength and all that.
