Uwe sent me a small list of more complicated chassis numbers:

57.222 (ex 57S TORPEDO prototype 1935) was the second used chassis for works AERO with registration: 9219 NV2

57.374 (ex 57.103 AEROLITHE No. 2 prototype 1936) was the first AERO to sold Rothschild

57.452 was probaly 57G TANK prototype

57.453 (ex 57.331 AEROLITHE No. 1 prototype 1935) was the first used chassis for works AERO with registration: 5800 NV3

57.454 was a 57G TANK with shortened chassis, no 57S (later was the third used chassis for works AERO with registration: 1521 NV4 and later type 101 Schlumpf)

57.455 was a 57G TANK with 57S chassis (later 57.335??)

57.456 was again a 57G TANK with shortened chassis, no 57S (later sold this chassis number to Albert Prejean Oct. 1936 with ATALANTE body)

I announce you that there never was of point in the classification of the Bugatti frames: 57.455, it is not a quantify but a number with five digits: 57455.

The 57455 used number 57335 incidentally, the answer detailed on the history of this Bugatti will be published in 2008, by Bugattiste well-known for its work worthy of an archaeologist.
Confidential information for the moment.

It is the same for the particular history for the 57335, today T57 Coupe Corsica.

It is not certain that there were two "Aérolithe", the debate is always open and still contradictory: The 57331 and 57103 could be the same one.

It is not certain that the 57374 is the ex-57103: no detail or document proves it, and the contradictory conclusions, they are only assumptions.

The 57453 with registration: 5800 NV3 have also registration 1521 NV 4 and 9219 NV 2 seen on photographs.

Registration 1521 NV4 existed well on Atlantic: 57453, to see photography (didn't I note it on a 57G Tank?)

Many details, in particular the height of the engine cowling since the ground are higher than other Atlantic, which makes it possible to believe that this Atlantic would be the ex57331 or 57103 (Aerolithe)

Which is the true history of 57454 ? This frame would have been used for:
1°) T57G Tank
2°) T57 Aérolithe ????
3°) T64 Coupé with Engine n° 2 of type 64 (registration 1244-W5)
4°) T101 Coupé 1951, Collection Schlumpf

The registration 1244-W5 is probably a registration of the factory of Molsheim
It was used for:
- un T57 Ventoux (photos Trust 59A et 60A)
- un T50 Landaulet (50112)
- le T64 Coupé with Engine n° 2 of type 64

For more clearness and happiness of each one, some details make it possible to differentiate the three specimens from Bugatti Type 57 G. the #57455 is distinguished easily from his sisters by its air intakes from cooling from the brakes before which are installed higher compared to the headlights. The two others can be recognized with the fasteners of the cap which are placed outwards for the #57456 or in inside for #57454, of the jack supports in front (at the origin fixings of bumper for the tourisme frame). Other details making it possible to differentiate them, they are the lower angles of the cap of the three cars which present small differences: to right angle on #57454, they are cut in skew on #57455 and skew also on #57456 but rounder.

Grand Prix A.C.F. on 28th June 1936 :

82 #57454 : Benoist-Rothschild
84 #57455 : Wimille-Sommer
86 #57456 : Veyron-Williams

Le chassis du 57455 est différent des deux autres, mais les numéros 82 et 86 sont à inverser:

57454 avec #86
57455 avec #84
57456 avec #82

Reférences: "The Bugatti Register The Netherlands Belgium" 2008-2009

57454 :
1°) Tank 1936 avec 1521-NV4 > (demolished) > 57454 sur Register
2°) Coupé Aéro avec 9219-NV2 (aussi pour 57221, 57222 et 57222a ), 5800-NV3, 1521-NV4 > 57453 sur Register
3°) Type 64 avec 1244-W5> 57454-2 sur Register
4°) Type 101 avec 1124-W4> 57454-3 sur Register

57455 : (57335 par erreur) > 57455 sur Register

57456 :
1°) Tank 57G 1936 > (demolished) > 57456-1 sur Register
2°) Atalante 1939 > 57456-2 sur Register
