I think you might have got a little carried away on that giant Bugatti ride on lawn mower of yours Udo.
As far as touring Bugattis go, The 57 was one of the very best. Contemporary road tests did nothing but sing its praises, especially for its fine road manners and flexibility.
In S form, no one less than Malcolm Campbell described it as the best all round super sports car on the market.
I don't know very much about the merits of twin cam Salmsons, but if its all the same to you, I will take the 57 any day.

This comes closer to reality .

Typical 57 problem . cracked engine main bearing caps . The lowest aluminium quality I have seen .

Hello Dan,
It is a very good idea to make a car based on original drawings.
Especially that now you've got what to ride. Do not assume that you will make it in 7 or 5 years, it is not a race.
For sure you can meet real friends that they help you in this project on different ways. I have got many wonderful contact today which I appreciate very much not only for their help but also because I know what they do.
I didn't expect that in this project I will have an occasion to see so many interesting things.

PS. Avoid people who know everything the best.

Regards
Marek

You better look for a project where drawings exist and not only photos . I have for example all drawings for 3-4-5-13-35-37-45-57s and a little more .

It seems strange that you have all those drawings, but didn't know what the text on the Type 251 pattern meant.

Greg , it looks like there are a lot of things strange to you . I was not able to understand
" Modele Mere " . But I did send the image to my friends in france , so it was not really a problem . But nobody from this forum mentioned it , so you are not alone .

You wanted some gears for a very early Brescia gearbox . I told you to send me the broken examples to be sure it will fit . I am still waiting for the examples .I do not have all drawings for the very early Brescia . Early Brescia drawings are not easy to get . But gears for this box are made in many countries , for example Italy - England- and so on . What stops you from just buying one ?

Truly excellent and several years well spent.
What steering box did you use? - I am interested to see how you solved this.
Thanks

I think he meant what steering box was used on the Type 37 replica at the beginning of this thread- not your ride on lawn mower.
