What a wonderful thing it would be to see the Wimille 59/50B back at Prescott next year.

The Raymond Mays ERA will be there as well.

Next time you're at the Schlumpf mausoleum, sorry, museum, ask to speak to the Director about loaning the car to us UK enthusiasts so that it can be turned into a runner again.

Perhaps the Bugatti Trust could take charge of the project. If they can build type 5 replicas at the drop of a hat refurbishing the type 59 would be a doddle ?

Indeed it would be a good thing to see rolling again this legendary Bugatti. I really want that to happen as soon as possible and I hope it will not remain just a dream...

The English Bugatti Owners Club is planning an approach to the Lottery to help run Prescott. Could this inlcude an element to help bring the Wimille car back to Prescott next year ? Driver would be Charles Knill-Jones - deserving winner of 2007 Jean Bugatti Cup for the most meritorious performance in a Bugatti or "young" charger Geraint Owen - tipped to win the 2008 Williams Trophy. Target time 46.69 seconds. Surely the Bugatti factory will support a celebration of the seventieth anniversary of a works Bugatti entry in England ? Crumbs off the table for them.

Long live the Entente Cordiale.

Speaking to the representative of the Anglouleme event at Stoneleigh.

She said a major sponsor was forthcoming for a race in 2009 to celebrate the centenary of the Molsheim Bugatti.

Roll on 2009.

England VSCC racer Christopher Hudson had his entry for Monaco turned down despite entering a Williams Trophy winning 35B ! Were the organisers worried he'd show up some of their geriatric millionaire runners ?

Hope he'll enter Anglouleme and give Bruno a run for his money.

Is it true there's also going to be a type 13 race again with a big cash prize dontated by England owner ??

It would be interesting for other members of the Forum to know which car Chris entered for the Monaco Hist. GP.
As we know the BOC recognises any car as a Bugatti provided there is a Bugatti badge on the radiator. I am certain the Monaco organisation can afford to be a bit more selective.
