I am not a skinny person, but I fitted in the Type 35 OK....well a couple of inches of my butt would have stopped the side pinching me slightly!

However, the footwell..................it is tiny and is the first car I have sat in where I did not have the first clue as to what pedals my size 11's were touching.

Perhaps a case for Nomex socks and no shoes?

Hi,
thats my problem too. Its hard to drive the car, if you are over 190 cm and have normal feet. I have to press first with the left foot the clutch and than I can brake with the right foot. Maybe you will find a solution to fix this.
Regards
Jörg

I have been thinking about your project. There is one thing that I find troubling, at least from a construction standpoint. The width of the back of the original Bugatti engine is extremely narrow which allows some room for your feet to operate the peddles. Even the most narrow modern engine with a dry clutch and flywheel assembly is probably wider than the back of the Bugatti. The only way I found to overcome this problem without widening the frame in my T-35 project was to build a wet clutch assembly. This allows for a very small diameter clutch housing and also for a very easy to push clutch peddle. The clutch discs and related parts came from a German built automatic transmission built by ZF. I made the patterns for the housings and had them cast (pretty cheap) and then machined them to fit the back of the Toyota engine.

Hallo,
you are right, I realized that, so that why I started my project creating a model in plasteline to find the diameters and proportions. Original diameters of weeltrack of T32 is 1052 mm and weelbase is 1996 mm. So small. In T32 the drive system is different than in T35. Do you notice that gearbox in T32 is on the rear? I haven't been thinking about the clutch yet. Suspension is also different in this model. Generaly the frame of the car is lower than in T35, it gives other possibilities to mounting the engine. "Tank" is a little bit different Bugatti, as I observe.
I congratulate on your project, I will follow your work.
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
Marek

In fact the T32 is the only Bugatti with an "Underslung" chassis, where the chassis rails go under the axles (both front and rear). I doubt if there are any good drawings of the chassis.

Of course you already saw this site:
http://bugatti-32.com/ No chassis drawings there either
