Model: Bugatti type 100 airplane Chassis number of original: unknown Scale: 1:43 Producer: [[Le Mans Miniatures]] Product number: AV143001 Form of delivery: kit, painted kit or built model Materials: resin, photo etch, vacuform Accuracy level: good Skill: easy Price range: 90 euro (kit), 140 euro (painted kit) or 320 euro (built) ---- The Bugatti type 100 airplane was an attempt of [[Ettore Bugatti]] and [[Louis de Monge]] to produce an airplane with outstanding performance. Planned top speed was 850 km/h, at that time (1939) faster than anything flying. With the second world war being expected, the plane was offered to the French government. The plane had many novel features, like counter-rotating props, an Y-tail, and patented reverse-cooling. The model is very accurate, and is not too difficult to assemble. The resin fuselage is a very crisp casting, and the photo etched parts are very high quality. Once built a great addition to any Bugatti or airplane collection. ---- http://www.bugattibuilder.com/photo/albums/userpics/10003/1167/normal_DSCN1392.jpg http://www.bugattibuilder.com/photo/albums/userpics/10003/normal_untitled100.jpg http://www.bugattibuilder.com/photo/albums/userpics/10003/1167/normal_DSCN1390.jpg http://www.bugattibuilder.com/photo/albums/userpics/10003/1167/normal_DSCN1391.jpg ---- Links: Photo page of scale model on Bugattibuilder.com: [[http://www.bugattibuilder.com/photo/thumbnails.php?album=1167]] Photo page of original airplane on Bugattibuilder.com: [[http://www.bugattibuilder.com/photo/thumbnails.php?album=265]]
