Hello, for a rear differential, after undoing the small locking screw and securing wire and hub bearing rings, how does one take out the demi arbre,
half shaft ..is there a technique or special tool , to split the diff body ?
thanks for ideas.

There are no special tools required to dismantle or reassemble a Bugatti diff. The half shaft is threaded on both ends,it is necessary to remove the locking pin and nut on the inner end to remove the halfshaft. There is a slight taper and keys into the differential gear.

It took an ancient 3 legged puller with lots of pressure and a mighty wack with a lump hammer ,but thank you for the technique- it is apart..and now understandable.
