you think all this 1,5mm holes are for finding the centerline ?

I am certain they are not meant to verify the wall thickness! Too late to ask the Drawing office in Molsheim.

there is no need for this holes to find the center line .

Hi,

Trou de repère means "reference hole"
Profondeur 1,5mm means 1.5 mm deep.
Could it be that those holes are used for checking the alignment or straightness of the axle or can they be used to check or align the chassis?

I have never seen these holes.I suspect therefore that they are present only on Royales for some reason.
