I do agree with you Greg, very much so!

Though this marketing is very much used, for almost any famous marque of car. For some probably the only way to make money.

Well I am glad someone does. And what about the Hermes Special edition.
They might have upholstered the trunk on the Weymann Royale, but really...

Still expensive.

3500 each, a production run of 100 copies = 350000 euro.

Total cost: 1 original, reproduction cost for 99 copies.

Not too bad...

I wonder if this CAR-phone is also for HANDS-Free calling??

And; if you already own a Veyron; don't pick up the wrong one when you receive a call!

Isnt it rather sad and contrived the way that all the modern attempts from the EB110 onwards allways have to try to incorporate the Horse shoe radiator.
Looking at the last developments of the French Bugattis (type 57s and Type 64), I get the feeling that the cars were even then trying to move on from the traditional shape that no longer suited the avant garde designs that Jean was trying to push forward.
It looked out of place on a modern 1930s car- it looks even more out of place on a 252mph twentyfirst century monster like the Veyron.

I am afraid that I have to disagree,Rolls Royce know how important the marque identity is with their customers. The Veyron is not something that interests me much although it was fun to drive one.The radiator is just right for the style of the front of the car.The car as a whole looks like a jellymould but that is just the modern trend :D I would prefer it if they were to reintroduce the T35b and start producing spares for the proper models, but we do not live in that sort of dream world. :D :D :D

More car manufacturers use same style in the front, BMW kidney radiator and of course Aston Martin DB series up till now.

However, most that had a trademark radiator, removed it in the 60's at the latest!

Think of Lancia, all of the American makes, Vauxhall and many more!

There is one thing the Veyron has in common with the Molsheim Bugattis : They both hold great appeal for the nouveau-riche.
