Dows anybody know of a Bugatti type 46 with coachwork (body) made of red leather?

You're referring to the Veth Coach?

Only one that springs to mind when thinking of a fabric covered T46. Has been in the Netherlands for a long while.

Very possibly.

Somewhere I read about a guy working on that car, and the only thing he remembered was the read leather body.

As the car was in the Netherlands, it must have been this T46 "Veth", which now left the Netherlands, I'm afraid.
